Weberg (Suplee) Hot Springs


An isolated, high temperature spring in Central Oregon, between John Day, Burns, and Prineville.

Type: Natural Hot Spring.
Fees: None.
Driving Instructions: Heading southeast from Prineville on the SE Paulina Hwy, continue through Post and Paulina until reaching S. Weberg Road and the exit for Suplee. After 5 miles, take the left and stay in the middle fork, traveling a short distance (1000 ft.) to the spring's location. Several mineral deposits will indicate the presence of the spring.

Comments: The hot spring on the Weberg Ranch near Suplee is a hot 116-120 degress F, so caution should be used when exploring this spring. Also access may not be allowed due to private property issues.

It is unclear whether this spring is addequate for soaking; rather, it seems to be of geothermal interest do to its mineral formations and high temperatures.
